Use of the RISD Wordmark and Seal

The RISD wordmark and Benson seal are important and valuable communication tools. Since these marks represent the institution, care must be taken when using them. The Benson seal in particular has a long history and, through years of careful repeated use, has come to embody the academic and creative values and rigor RISD is know for around the world.

RISD community members interested in using the seal, in any manner and for any purpose, must contact the Senior Director of Public Relations to do so.

If an external partner requests use of the Benson seal or RISD workmark, please contact the Senior Director of Public Relations, who will evaluate the request and, if deemed appropriate, complete a logo usage agreement with the third party and then supply the file.
