Rhode Island School of Design is fully approved to certify students (veterans or dependents) who are eligible for educational benefits provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In addition, RISD partners with the VA in support of the Post 9/11 GI Bill® and the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program. For GI Bill® students, our tuition policy complies with 38 USC 3679 (e) which means a GI Bill® student will not be charged or otherwise penalized due to a delay in the VA tuition and fee payments. Students utilizing GI Bill® benefits must submit a Certificate of Eligibility (C.O.E.) at least two months before starting their first semester.

Additional information about utilizing VA benefits at RISD is available here.
