Current degree-seeking students have electronic access via Workday to view their grades, academic history, class schedule, and additional account information. Information requires a username and password, which all students are assigned as they enter the College. Students needing help logging in should contact Information Technology Services by phone at (401) 454-6106 or email at servicedesk@risd.edu.

In some cases, along with a grade, faculty provide narrative evaluations of student performance. Narrative evaluations are an important part of student assessment and are strongly encouraged for studio classes. These narrative comments are not considered a part of a student’s official record.

Current students also have direct access to their Academic Progress report in Workday. The Progress Report lists requirements for graduation and is used for academic advising and degree audits.

Current students (and students on a current leave of absence) have 24-hour access to their Workday accounts.  Students that are administratively withdrawn from RISD for any reason will not have access to their account once their withdrawal has been processed, as they are no longer considered RISD students. Withdrawn students that are reinstated to the College will regain access. Contact Information Technology Services with questions regarding access.

Through Workday, faculty advisors also have web access to the academic history of their advisees. Additionally, faculty may view their class rosters, enter class materials, as well as submit final grades and mid-term warnings through Workday.
