Violence in the Workplace
All faculty, staff, students, vendors, contractors, consultants, and others who have business with RISD, whether in a college facility or off-campus location where college business is conducted, are covered by this policy.
RISD strongly believes that all employees should be treated with dignity and respect. Acts and threats of violence will not be tolerated. Any instances of violence must be reported to the employee’s supervisor and/or the Human Resources Department. All complaints will be fully investigated. RISD will promptly respond to any incident or suggestion of violence.
Violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including immediate discharge. RISD strives to provide employees with a safe and healthy work environment
